Impossible…Is That Even Real?

I read a quote on a blog by Joel Runyon.  His blog is all about doing the “impossible.”  It’s a really great read.

Now, back to that quote….

“Never tell a young person that anything cannot be done. God may have been waiting centuries for someone ignorant enough of the impossible to do that very thing.” – G. M. Trevelyan

It’s interesting to ponder this.  How often do we do this?  How often was this done to us?!  How often is this still done to us?!

And the intentions are usually pure.  People are just trying to protect us…they don’t desire for us to experience disappointment or failure (whatever *that* is).  Shouldn’t it be our choice whether we would like to fail miserably?

Would it actually be failure?  What is failure anyway?

Back to the Impossible

What does that mean?  Really.  Does it only mean that no one has done it?  Or that no one has tried?  Does it refer to a lack of knowing if it can happen?

The dictionary defines impossible as “unable to be, exist, happen.”

But what does that mean?

Making “Impossible” Happen

Have you ever noticed that it only takes one person, who is willing to do something, to accomplish that which is impossible?

Prior to 1954, people thought it was impossible to run a mile in under 4 minutes.  Then one man made it happen on May 6, 1954, when he ran a mile in 3:59.4!  Impossible?

At one time, people looked up at the moon and thought that no one could ever get there…it was impossible.  Then on July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong made it happen when he stepped out of the landing craft and onto the surface of the moon.  Unable to happen?

What have you decided and judged as impossible that if you would destroy and uncreate that decision would open up a whole new world of infinite possibilities to you?

What is possible to you and your life and living if you let go of impossible?
